Well, he's not "just" the head of the Phoenix Guards because we know
he's also head of Special Tasks.  But I think that's it, given the
evidence.

OBSP: "Dragons", no apostrophe.  Nothing is elided, and it's not a
possessive.

Some thoughts:

I think the Warlord is an older man, probably at least as old as
Khaavren.  Threatening to resign is the behavior of someone confident
in his principles, and secure in his status and perhaps nearing the
age where he feels ready to retire, all marks of maturity.  He might
also be someone we've met who admires Khaavren, and perhaps the
threatened resignations are in emulation of Khaavren's behavior (or
perhaps the other way around).

Hmm.  Do we know what happened to Uttrik e'Lanya?  I note that at the
end of Phoenix Guards, he is steward of the Pepperfields under Adron,
but I don't remember if FHYA tells of him.
