The latter replied with a shrug, and turned his attention back to Kana.


So, the question is whether this is a case of 'translation' (given
that Dragaeran has a neutral pronoun and English does not) or an
error on the proofreader's part. 

And of course, the other question is, which is it, Count or Countess?
