Strange.. I really enjoyed both books, although I do consider 'To Reign in Hell' to be one of the best books I've read, period. It's also the book I recommend to people who want to read Brust, but not necessarily jump into a series. > > > Okay, new topic: which, if any, of Brust's books have you *not* enjoyed? I've never read F&N. I started once, then started to lose track of who is who, then was told by friends who are much better at keeping track of characters that they had the same problem.. so I put it down and just haven't picked it up again. Other than that.. I'd say the ones I didn't really enjoy were Brokedown Palace (although I am considering rereading it), Teckla, and Athyra was ok. At the time I read it, there was just something about the style of BP that I wasn't a huge fan of. Although after finding out about two character crossovers from BP (that don't involve the initial legend), I'm thinking of rereading it. Teckla.. the story didn't interest me much.. and I'm to much of a Cawti fan.. I didn't like seeing her and Vlad breakup.. although I am hoping that we'll all get to see Vlad meet his child. Athyra - I just think Vlad is much more interesting in Adrilankha, or off on adventures involving powerful wizards and gods.
