I began with Jhereg in late 1990 or early 1991, because it was at the bookstore and clearly the first in the series. I proceeded to tear through as much of Brust's stuff as I could find, and picked up new Taltos books as they came out. Took me longer to get into the non-Taltos stuff, for some reason. >Okay, new topic: which, if any, of Brust's books have you *not* enjoyed? Athyra tops the list, mostly because of the lack of smartass commentary. I just reread all the non-Dragaera books, and Brokedown Palace wasn't as cool as I remembered it being. (Gypsy and F&N were both cooler than I remembered, though, so it's all good.) Feng's felt like it couldn't decide what it was. (Note that saying "This is Brust's worst book" is equivalent to saying "This is only better than 75% of the stuff out there.") ---- The time for action is past-- now is the time for senseless bickering! --Ashleigh Brilliant
