I felt the same way about The Phoenix Guards the first
time I read it - in fact, I was slavishly devoted to
the Vlad books and dismissive of The Phoenix Guards.
Now, about 10 years later (oh brother, time does fly)
I'm still a Vlad slave but am just cackling my way
through The Phoenix Guards. Maybe it's just my state
of mind now, I don't know. I'm just glad my husband
is (hopefully) getting me POTD so I can do a "full
Paarfi" over the next week or so.

Um, "full Paarfi" might spark some interest.
Alternate definitions, anyone?

Laurie
