But yet, on the note of another Phoenix, I recall Paarfi referring to
Tortaalik as having blond hair, (AFB so it may not have been exactly "blond"
but I specifically remember it not being gold and even thinking "huh, not
gold")...So maybe gold and "golden blond" are the same thing (as someone
suggested before)...Or, perhaps not all Phoenix's have gold hair or gold
strands through their hair?...Or maybe the gold is a sorcerous effect?...Or,
maybe the gold strands are wove through their hair, and sometimes, pending
on how much gold, Draagaereans refer to a Phoenix as having gold hair and at
other times blond? (Sort of like "dirty blond" which is sometimes referred
to as brown and sometimes blond pending how much brown is in it?)...Or maybe
the author wanted break up the continuity and be even more verbose and
decided to use "gold" and "blond" and thought his audience would understand
that they meant the same thing, that is, if he refers to them
interchangeably...Or maybe the author didn't have his morning coffee when he
wrote these things and was in an agitated mood and thought "I'll be
confusing today, just for the fun of it"? ... Or maybe it is something else
entirely which we either a) are not seeing though it is right in front of
us, or b) have yet to learn...I think it's probably part "a" of this last
remark...Okay, I think I am done with my "or maybe"'s for now, but maybe I
will write more if I think of more "or maybe"'s later.
