Or the Court was speaking in Serioli before (which sounds suspiciously
like Russian) - Pel fashionably lapses into it early in _TPG_ - and some
of the terminology was kept (or the direct translation used) by Paarfi for
historical flavor - or there are House or regional differences, or poetic
and plain speech distinctions, or ...
