On a related note, sorta, is it possible to change the standardized subject line for the group to include a global word? For instance, all subjects could begin with [Dragaera] or [Vlad], which would make filtering the mail easier... I read my mail in Pine. This account has existed for long enough that I'm prone to receiving roughly two hundred mail messages a day, of which 40% or so is junk and 60% is worth reading. I tend to sweep through my email looking only at subject lines, and if it's not a thread I recognize I tend to delete it. I don't want to miss out on these generally interesting conversations by accidentally deleting a whole thread by mistake. I'm new enough to the list that this topic may have already come up and been rejected. Or, more people than me may decide that it's not necessary, and I'm okay with that. I just wondered if there was enough interest to make it worthwhile. -Paul On Fri, 28 Feb 2003, Jag wrote: > On Fri, 2003-02-28 at 08:51, Jim Toth wrote: > > On Thu, Feb 27, 2003 at 09:47:24PM -0500, Jag (agrajag at dragaera.net) said: > > [snip--using too little quoted text] > > > Oh, and it wasn't that hard to figure out what Julie was quoting due to > > > having a mail client that understands threads and the In-Reply-To: mail > > > header :) > > > > And being lucky enough that the message in question *had* an > > In-Reply-To: (and/or a References:) mail header, since many mail > > clients don't bother. > > True.
