Here's another notion about that: The so-called Morganti "greatsword"
was actually the equivalent of "insulation" wrapped around Pathfinder.
The sense of a Great Weapon's aura diminishes when it is sheathed; the
metal around Pathfinder was *not*, in fact Morganti, and it acted as a
sheath, hiding most of Pathfinder's aura (which is why it felt like a
"weak" Morganti sword).

So the shrapnel and bits and pieces were not actually Morganti
dangerous because they were just bits of non-Morganti metal.

Well, maybe, anyway. Vlad doesn't say what the pieces were like when
he was cleaning up.

Although that means that the only weapon that consumed Napper's soul
was Pathfinder itself - which might in turn mean that his soul might
not be truly destroyed and Pathfinder might be capable of releasing
said soul.

Perhaps.
