Do you happen to know what style it was? > Maudite is one of a number of Belgian-style beers made by Unibroue, in Quebec. They are available in Ontario (and I discovered a couple of years ago, in France) but I'm not sure about other jurisdictions. Maudite is relatively similar to Chimay Red Cap. Other Unibroue beers are: Blanche de Chambly -- a Belgian-style wheat beer (white, hints of cardamom). A little like Hoegaarden. Fin du Monde -- a lighter-coloured trippel, about 9% C2H5OH by volume. Somewhat generically similar to Chimay White Cap. Trois Pistoles -- a dark trippel. Raftman -- Beer fermented on whiskey lees (using barrels which had been used for ageing whiskey. I'm probably forgetting one or two. -- James Burbidge jamesandmary.burbidge at sympatico.ca
