We wouldn't necessarily know. But can any non-subscriber post to this
list? If not, we have a filter right there.

In my work I run 5 email lists for people on my project. In the past
week or two the address of one of those lists has been receiving 2-5
emails each day, from unfamiliar addresses, that either carry the MyDoom
virus or say "Your mail has been refused because (it carries a virus /
you are not a subscriber to this list / ...)". None of my subscribers
ever sees those, because all mail from non-subscribers gets held for
moderator's (my) approval unless I have put the sender on a whitelist,
which I do for people like programmers and sysadmins who sometimes need
to send notices to my lists.

I haven't seen any of that cr at p here, have you?
