Denoms thus far: 1, 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, which mirrors the US system pretty closely. The $2 is a weird historical prank and doesn't count, though I love it. Seems apparent that a gold Imperial contains less than a gold Imperial's worth of gold, but that's just a hunch.
