However, part of the problem might well be the psuedonyms. I don't know how much of the Paarfiad was available in Vlad's time, so the average noble might or might not know about Aerich. Also note that Vlad is close friends with close friends of A - off-hand I'd think V would know who the Duke of Arylle is. For a Fenarian (and P) the events of _TPG_ would be of special interest.
