If I could distract the train of though for a
moment...
In the novels, Steven mentions various Morganti
weapons, invariably knives or swords - edged or
piercing weapons.
It would seem that the act of stabbing or even
scratching someon with a Morganti weapon is enough to
loose your soul - or in the case of the Great Weapons,
get it stored and possibily pushed out later.
We have more insight into the great weapons from
'Issola', as the Jenoine can make them to - with the
potential to even kill gods.
Now, he mentions also that Morganti weapons come in
varing strengths, hunger and temperments [for the
GWs].
Now, I'm looking for a bit of '2-cents' here.
Power and hunger I assume are directly proportional.
Humans are dead meat even with the weakest Morganti
cut. Gods need something more substantial to nix them
[as they just get banished from the current plane of
existence - or deaded, if it is their home plane] {see
Seth Lavode and Issola for details}. And Jenoine
require GWs or something as deadly.
Am I missing anything in terms of theory here?
So the speculation IS.... what is a Morganti blade and
in a 'normal' M-weapon, where does the soul go? Into
the blade or is it 'consumed by something' or ...
what?
