Maybe I should have said "instant" one shot kill. People shot with a bow and
arrow have this distressing tendency to scream, yell, stumble about and
generally make a nuisance of themselves before expiring. Messy. Even if shot
through the throat, they can gargle loudly enough to get others attention.
(This also applies to slitting throats as well, one of the reasons assassins
go for the spinal cord.)
