In case anybody still cares, I think the point of this is that the _usage_ of "kethna" is like that of "chicken" (or "lamb"): it means both the animal and its meat. However, the _meaning_ of kethna is something very like a pig. Steve has responded approvingly to a joke about it not being kosher. (I'm still waiting for "kethna wings", though.)
