I haven't finished reading all the "re:'s" yet, so I may be jumping someone else's gun here, but didn't Zerika (yes, we ARE on a first name basis) grant Vlad an imperial title, fully knowing what he had just done to the Organization, as well as helping set up a major Jhereg Boss for delivery to Elde...er...Greenacre, for execution? I think Zerika is enough of an individual to do basically whatever the fook she wants too. I'll just go ahead and admit I'm a shameless addict who wants everything, and, [nothing to end] at the same time, so for an ideal next novel, Steve brings back Tazendra and Aerich, (Verra's special dispensation for those who distinguished themselves at the end of SL) causes Pathfinder to cough up the immortal soul of Napper, and sets Vlad up with some kind of Imperial postition in which he can thumb his nose at the Jhereg, while at the same time, experiencing the regression that Sethra could supposedly set up for him to relive his time as Dolivar. Oh yeah, and the Jhereg hires Kragar to kill Vlad, but Vlad wins the contest without killing Kragar, and then convinces House Dragon to take him back. Am I leaving any fantasy out?
