Why should Sethra feel guilty towards Dolivar, to the point that she would be carrying the guilt around 200,000 years later? When talking to Savn, who is no more than a sounding board and doesn't require explanations about the Vlad=Dolivar situation, would she phrase a statement about guilt towards Dolivar as "And I shouldn't still feel guilty toward Vlad."? How did she find out that Vlad's soul was Dolivar's soul in the first place? I may be just making too big a deal out of it. Steve may have just figured the Dolivar connection was an obvious one and assumed that Vlad (and the reader) would see it the same way.
