While Googling other stuff, i came across John 19:2,
The soldiers twisted together a crown of thorns and put it on his
head. They clothed him in a purple robe.
There seems to be some dispute over the color of the robe (some say
scarlet, and my Spanish bible says 'red' in Matthew, Mark, and Luke,
but it's already been shown to have deficient translations in other
areas, so it's not trustworthy). Nonetheless, the idea of Jesus as a
purple robe wearer on the Paths of the Dead... OK, i'm a blasphemous
punk, i know.
