>Those are the ones that I can remember. >Anyway, I'm guessing that the answer is yes, but it's wisely in a place where the author >can still say yes or no, of course. >My apologies if this topic has already been discussed. Any thoughts? IMO, only the last of those (Vlad specifically wondering about it) is any kind of hint as to Sethra and Morrolan's romantic status. Being a vampire, it isn't really clear whether Sethra would even enjoy physical love the way a living person would. Vlad himself looks to be just a bit disturbed by the image and I think it's fair to assume that most people would have such a reaction be they Dragaeran or Easterner. Considering that Morollan has a reasonably close connection to Verra, I'd be more inclined to the possiblity that he's her lover rather than Sethras. By all appearances, Sethra is just as good a friend with Aliera as she is with Morollan or even Vlad. Dropping by Castle Black a lot (which, after all, is a 30 hour a day party) doesn't really indicate that she and Morollan have got a "thing" going. Likewise, Morollan benefits in many ways from Sethra's friendship and he'd certainly do his part to cultivate it regardless of any romantic possibilities. Heck, the notoriety alone would make it worthwhile for him. *heh* Morollan is every bit the honorable Dragon but he isn't always the epitomy of propriety. Rebelliousness of youth and all that. (By Easterner reckoning, Morollan and Aliera are both twenty-somethings with the brashness that goes with being a young adult who happens to also have a lot of wealth and power.) It's not out of the question but I don't see anything in the books that even indirectly hints at it other than Vlad's idle wonderings (which, of course, may be Steve's way of planting the seeds of the idea).
