Hi, Can Loiosh predict the future? Or can he access a part of Vlad's mind that can predict the future without either of them knowing they have this ability. Others, like Tiassas, can predict the future or at least receive visions in fire from the gods or the future. See Tevna the Pyrologist, The Paths of the Dead, Chapter the Twenty-Fifth. Here is my text evidence or at least what made me think that Loiosh might be able to predict the future: "'...C'mon, boss, time to get up. There are six Dragon warriors here, and they all want to duel with you. Let's go! There's a Dzur hero knocking on the door asking about his daughter, better get up. Okay boss, wake up! The Great Sea of Chaos has just moved into the next bedroom and it insists that you have a better view. Wakey wakey.' Waking up in the middle of the night, in a damp storage closet, wedged between dried kethna ribs and a tub of lard, with a wise-ass jhereg thundering smart remarks in your mind, has little to recommend it. 'All right, stuff it, Loiosh.'" The Book of Taltos, Taltos, Chapter 5, page 50. Then...Chapter 12, page 119-121, Vlad and Morrolan are supposed to duel with 12 Dragonlords...six for each of them. Then...Chapter 16, page 161, Vlad looks out at a sea and almost falls asleep thinking about beds. Could the sea be the Great Sea of Chaos? And the Dzur hero knocking on the door asking about his daughter... well...maybe we get to read about that next spring in Dzur or in another book. Or maybe Loiosh/Vlad cannot predict the future. Just some wild speculation. Bye. Linda G.
