We see very little of inheritance among Dragaerans; I don't
think its as simple as it is among Easterners. For one
thing, the overlap of lifespans of children and parents
can easily reach a couple thousand years, which is why
children often get titles long before their parents die.

I do think its likely that Aliera got her county back (what
was called? Limterick?).

Was.  In FHYA, Adron is referred to as Baron of Pepperfields;
this implies (to me) that the area is no longer a special
case.

Agreed; this is also the reason why I believe Khaavren is the
current Warlord.
