So, I'm not sure if I'm just going crazy, or actualy noticing something here. If anyone wishes to help me out...:) Reading PotD, I noticed a word used three times (maybe more, but I don't think so) that Brust doesn't use often. The word was "ennui". Is it just me, or does Brust seem to have a tendency to use an unusual word (unusual, at least, in his own writing) every book or so? I recall his using "discommode" in Issola a couple of times, and there might be more in other books. I wouldn't put it past Brust to like a word at certain times and toss it in his writing... Just a thought. Of course, I'm probably crazy. I've been told as much often enough... ;) Chris (who likes unusual words...:) "Life is the nightmare that leaves its mark upon you in order to prove that it is, in fact, real." -Thomas Ligotti- 'The Sect of the Idiot'
