Although, in reading your example it occurred to me that if Vlad's father was manipulated into being very pro-Dragaeran, thereby forcing a title, sorcery and sword fighting lessons on Vlad, would that not in turn give Vlad the opportunity rebel and take up an interest in witch-craft?
