A lust for money for vanity's sake could certainly be manifested by nose
rings :) Think bull-ring style.  :)

Mileage varies, but I do note the added benefit of the phrase 'foolish and
hurtful lusts' which gives it good points for this particular exercise.  As
literature, the KJV is beautiful.  As a translation of Scripture it is
somewhat flawed.  Or rather, it was state of the art 400 years ago in
England before the advent of good biblical scholarship and recent
archeological finds.  It just doesn't do much for this particular modern
Christian.
