One of the unspoken Rules of Fantasy/SF Trilogies is that their titles all have to have the same recognizable cadence or structure. Among the most common are "The This of That" or "Noun Verbing" or "The Adjective Noun". I understand it, and don't fault it. After all, it helps a reader find and recognize a series of books as such. TPotD and TLoCB would have been nicely completed by TEoDM, but I'm happy to make wine out of squished grapes, that this series does not obey the common pattern. Who needs trilateral symmetry when we have septa-decimal symmetry to worry about? Noam --- "The concept is interesting and well-formed, but in order to earn better than a 'C,' the idea must be feasible." -- A Yale University management professor in response to Fred Smith's paper proposing reliable overnight delivery service (Smith went on to found Federal Express Corp.)
