One of the unspoken Rules of Fantasy/SF Trilogies is that their titles
all have to have the same recognizable cadence or structure. Among the
most common are "The This of That" or "Noun Verbing" or "The Adjective
Noun".
I understand it, and don't fault it. After all, it helps a reader find
and recognize a series of books as such. TPotD and TLoCB would have
been nicely completed by TEoDM, but I'm happy to make wine out of
squished grapes, that this series does not obey the common pattern. Who
needs trilateral symmetry when we have septa-decimal symmetry to worry
about?
