And, if you extrapolate that each GW finds the proper person to wield it, that would make it an assassin's weapon.. not a townslayer like Blackwand. Vlad is protected... and possibly immortal if GS does for him as Pathfinder has.. but he's not immune. And, if *I* were the Demon.. once I found out he's immune to direct attacks, Noish-pa, Loiosh, Rocza and Cawti..among others.. would become the new targets. They DON'T have GW's and the best way to punish Vlad is to make him live with the knowledge that his beloveds are gone.. I'm on record as worrying about this (see "Issola, Dragon, J Whedon, and Chandler's The Long Goodbye" when the Dragaera search is updated) but I agree with the argument that Vlad's hostages to fortune will allow sufficient complications and danger; and _Orca_ shows that there are Vladiadian modes available for future installments without excessive violence. For that matter, much of _Taltos_ and _Jhereg_ would work as is with a GWed Vlad.
