The 'elfs' started out with long lifespans, it's not something which developed suddenly as a 'technological' innovation. I think that a greater problem of socio-legal impact on families, succession, and related topics would be resurrection. We start to see the problems inherent in this with Alieria and the whole inheritance issue, as well as Sethra being undead... David A Rodemaker
