The more I look at this list the more I suspect that the nut Steve had in mind was an almond, except that almonds don't add much if any color to anything. Almonds have a reddish brown skin over the nutmeat. Brain the size of an almond would be consitent with that of many reptiles. Almonds are tree nuts that grow on a tree much like the peach tree. Almond liqueur is quite tasty. Almonds make an excellent ingredient in cakes and other desserts. Casey
